Rajeev Karwal, the founder of Milagrow Business and Knowledge Solutions, has been driven by the idea of creating effective solutions for safe and easy cleaning, minimizing the need for human intervention. The inspiration behind developing cleaning robots stemmed from the recognition that certain cleaning tasks can be hazardous for humans, while robots can perform these tasks easily, efficiently, effectively, and safely.
Since their establishment in 2011, Milagrow has continuously evolved its product range. Initially, their robots could only independently clean around 35% to 40% of a home. However, through the development of their proprietary software called Real Time Terrain Recognition technology, they have achieved a significant milestone. Today, their robots can independently clean almost 95% of an average home, making substantial progress in reducing human involvement in cleaning processes.
Milagrow is now launching the Milagrow iMap Max, an innovative robot that combines wet mopping and vacuuming capabilities. This robot possesses unique features such as self-cleaning of its mops after cleaning a certain area, applying 10 N pressure for thorough wet mopping, and a snail brush system that allows the side brush to extend during cleaning. This combination of Real Time Terrain Recognition technology, pressure mopping, and self-cleaning of mops is a world-first, offering significant benefits to the Indian market, particularly in terms of cleaning corners. The product launch on Amazon during Prime Day is expected to further propel the growth of Milagrow's business.
In terms of business growth, Milagrow anticipates a significant increase this year, with expectations of a 1000% growth rate. Despite the challenges posed by the pandemic and supply chain constraints, the company has already witnessed over 300% growth in the first four months of the financial year. The launch of three new models of floor cleaning robots, two models of humanoids, one model of a back massaging robot, and one pool cleaning robot on Prime Day is expected to generate substantial revenue, aiming to reach INR 10 million in just two days.
Milagrow takes pride in building world-class products in India, and quality is a crucial aspect of their approach. The company ensures high-quality standards by offering extended warranties, such as a 5-year warranty on suction motors and a 2-year warranty on the robots themselves. This commitment to zero-defect performance and providing long-term warranties demonstrates their dedication to delivering products that meet stringent quality standards.
During the pandemic, Milagrow's robots have been instrumental in assisting healthcare workers and hospitals. The company received positive feedback from AIIMS doctors and contributed to their safety through the deployment of humanoids and floor cleaning robots. Many other hospitals have since adopted Milagrow's robots. While the ultimate dream is to completely eliminate manual scavenging through the use of robots, it may take around 10 years to achieve this goal. Milagrow remains committed to working towards making this dream a reality while focusing on the crucial need for hygiene and disinfection in various environments.
